Friends of Playbox
Friends of Playbox is a registered charity created specifically to raise awareness of and funds for Playbox Theatre's creative programmes. We seek to enable young people (especially those who may not have regular access to the theatre and art programmes) to participate in, explore, enjoy and benefit from the company's work. Furthermore, we provide a social focus for Playbox members and their families through our fundraising events, social programmes, and social get-togethers.
Get Involved
All parents of Playbox members are automatically part of the Friends. That doesn’t mean you have to be on the committee (although new faces are always welcome!) - we are always ready to welcome extra pairs of hands so if you can spare a few hours, get in touch. We will add you to our mailing list and you can volunteer to help out with specific events and fundraising initiatives on an ad-hoc basis.

Stars & Seats
In Playbox Theatre's 30th year the Friends of Playbox have set a fundraising target of £20,000. The funds will be donated to the refurbishment project - Horizon 2 - planned by the theatre, to upgrade and enhance its front of house areas.
Join the Playbox Galaxy of Stars!
Open to all Playbox members - Past & Present - your named star will be proudly displayed on a specially created 'Wall of Stars' to celebrate the hard work and dedication of all young people who have made Playbox what it is!
Sponsor a Seat!
For a donation of £150 the seat will carry a plaque with your name or an inscription of your choice for 10 years and your generous donation will help us achieve our fundraising target to improve the building for the next generation of Playbox members.
Christmas Raffle
The Friends of Playbox are organising a Christmas Raffle to raise funds to support the work of Playbox Theatre. If you, your employer, your favourite shop or suppliers are able to offer a prize it would be hugely appreciated and all for a great cause!
