OCTOBER HOLIDAY PROJECTS

This October, Playbox are celebrating the autumn season with a selection of Holiday Projects inspired by some of our favourite themes and stories. We have some action-packed days in store for you, all designed to learn new skills, build firm friendships, and have plenty of fun!

The Hunger Games
Power in Panem

Thursday 28th October 10am – 4pm

£55 Members / £60 Non-Members

“They say it isn’t over until the Mockingjay sings...”

The war of Panem has been lost by the districts. Their punishment is The Hunger Games, an annual reminder that no-one, not even the children, are safe from the capitol.

This one-day holiday project will blend acting, devising, stage combat and performance techniques inspired by the themes and characters of Suzanne Collin’s ‘The Hunger Games.’ The recently published prequel ‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ will provide a fresh dimension alongside the original trilogy surrounding Katniss and Peeta’s adventures in the arena.

Suitable for ages 10 – 13

Halloween at Hogwarts

Monday 25th October + Tuesday 26th October 10am – 4pm

£105 Members / £95 Non-Members

“Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts, teach us something please!”

The pumpkin patch has been prepped and The Great Hall is banquet ready. It is Harry, Ron and Hermione’s favourite time of year. As the nights draw in, will their mischief be managed or will the cantankerous Filch stop them in their tracks?

The ever-popular Harry Potter holiday project is back for two days this autumn. Perfect for this spooky season, we will be exploring acting, improvisation, movement and mime all inspired by the books and films of this most famous wizarding school.

Suitable for ages 7 – 11

Fairytale Forest

Friday 29th October 10am – 1pm

£30 Members / £25 Non-Members

“If you go down to the woods today be sure of a big surprise!”

Little Red is looking for her grandma, Jack is on the way to sell his cow, and Rapunzel’s still locked up in her tower – the woods are full of our favourite fairy-tale characters. There even seems to be some magic amongst the trees...

This fantasy filled workshop will use all our favourite stories as inspiration for our role-play. We will sing, dance, act and imagine our way through the fairy-tale forest and follow it all up with a picnic in the woods.

Suitable for ages 3 – 6
