HETTY FEATHER
ROLL UP and join Hetty on her escape from the Foundling Hospital. TREMBLE as she faces Matron Stinking Bottomly. THRILL as she discovers the squirrel house and Tanglefield’s Travelling Circus. GASP as she endures a night locked in the attic. QUAKE as she braves the scary streets of Victorian London and CHEER as she overcomes all in the search for her real mother and a true family.
Mary King directs and is looking for a multi talented company of actors and circus performers to bring Hetty Feather to our stage in a spectacular production this summer.
Auditions are open to fully paid members of the THEATRE TRAINING and CIRCUS PROGRAMMES.
AUDITIONS:
Mon 11th Feb
5-6pm - 10-13 yrs
6-7pm - 14+yrs
There is no need to prepare anything for the audition, but please wear very practical clothing.
Rehearsal dates (times to follow): 16th, 17th, 18th April, 5th, 11th, 30th, 31st May 1st, 2nd, 9th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th June
Performances:
Fri 28th June, 7.30pm
Sat 29th June, 3pm
Sun 30th June, 3pm
Thurs 4th July, 7.30pm
Fri 5th July, 7.30pm
Sat 6th July, 3pm

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PARENTS AND MEMBERS: Playbox Theatre auditions are highly competitive (as is reflected in the whole world of theatre). Auditionees are scored in many different ways and the final ‘company’ is selected according to a range of specific criteria. We ask parents to support their children, and Playbox Theatre, completely and to acknowledge that these processes are selective and there is a high probability of a young person not being successful. Please help to manage their expectations and to be certain that it is right for them to audition at this time. Casting may take up to 4 weeks.
All cast must potentially be available to attend every rehearsal, and every performance. Not all cast will necessarily be called to every rehearsal but must be available. Please read the dates very carefully before coming to the audition as rehearsal absence is never permitted.
